This song makes me wonder if I would ever actually be able to leave a relationship in this situation. If my past is any indication of my future behavior I think that I am pretty fail at this. In 2007 when the sous chef broke up with me, looking back I knew we shouldn’t be together. . . . → Read More: Song(s) Of The Day: Tuesday

I’m starting a new thing for this week only. I’m going to share with you some songs that have connected with me somehow, whether it’s recently or in the past. Why? Because I can.
This first song reminds me of my first year of non-monogamy, plus many dates since. I somewhat embraced it as my theme song, . . . → Read More: Song Of The Day: Monday

Last night I held my second workshop at Lucky You in Toronto’s west end called Non-Monogamy 201. The focus of this one was on communication and I was interested to see how it was going to go as the crowd was smaller than the last time around.
The conversation flowed a little differently than Non-Monogamy 101, but . . . → Read More: Workshop Reflection

Steph is being extra lovely to me today. First he told me this morning – when I think I look like a bag of crap – that I’m so much hotter now than I was 5 years ago when I was 25. I can’t say I disagree, which at 30 years old is a pretty awesome thing to say / feel about oneself. Here’s the pictures; see for yourself.

A couple of weeks ago while in the middle of trying to win Bon Jovi tickets on Twitter, my phone rang. Instinctively I thought it was @clickflickca telling me I’d won the tickets – realizing after that duh, he didn’t have my phone number – but instead of happy news it was a friend calling to let me know our friend had just killed herself the night before.
What do you do when you hear news like this? It doesn’t make any sense to hear the words said out loud. Unexpected death is one thing, but suicide? Say what?
I went downstairs and told my Mum who was on the couch. Then I sat on the back deck and soaked it in, cried and shook my head. I’ve dealt with plenty of death in my time with my dad passing from ALS, my step-brother dying in a tragic accident and lots of other relatives dying from natural causes, but never a suicide. I have no experience with this type of death, how to grieve, what to do …

A bit over a month ago I hopped on a plane to head to a little town called Reno, Nevada to meet and visit with some dear friends I originally met on Twitter.
Hopping on “a” plane isn’t very accurate though as I missed my connecting flight and ending up hopping on three planes and arriving in Reno 10 hours late, which totally bummed me out as I was really looking forward to spending that first day with one of my hosts as he was going to take the day off work and just chill with me.
Stupid airplanes and tornadoes ruining that bonding time. *shakes fist*
